The November 17, 2009 edition of The Huffington Post has an interesting article written by Megan Smolenyak, a genealogist and family history expert.  Megan is also the author of several books on genetic genealogy.  One of the things Megan discusses in this article is pedigree collapse, which occurs when kissing cousins get married.  Click here to read her article in The Huffington Post.
