Here is a link to an article in the Spittoon, a blog written by 23andMe, which is a new DNA testing company.  The focus of 23andMe is testing autosomal DNA for medical predispositions, not genealogy.  However, they also do something they called Ancestry Painting that examines the 22 bi-parentally inherited chomosomes one segment at a time to determine whether it was most likely inherited from ancestors in Africa, Europe or Asia.  We will have an article in the October newsletter that compares and contrasts 23andME and FTDNA.
