People with blue eyes have a single, common ancestor, according to new DNA research.  A team of scientists has identified a single genetic mutation that leads to blue eyes.  The mutation supposedly occurred between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago.  Here is a link to a story in LiveScience where you can read more about it.
