Yahoo's GeoCities is closing on 26 October, 2009. There are many genealogy sites on Geocities, and sadly, many of these sites may be lost if the owners don't move the sites to a new location. Yahoo is not notifying anyone about this by personal e-mail and many webmasters have not updated their sites in years, so more likely than not, they are not even aware the pages they have posted will be lost.
