The Church of Latter Day Saints manages the largest collection of genealogical records in the world - 2.5 million rolls of microfilm and microfische from over 100 countries worldwide. For decades, the LDS has allowed the public to access its collections for minimum fees through its library in Salt Lake City and the 4,500 Family History Centers attached to Mormon churches.
