If you have never had your yDNA Markers tested then the best way to join the Phillips DNA Project and order your test kit is to click here. This link will open a new web page in a separate window. Select the type of test and level of markers to be tested. You will then be taken to the next page where you are informed that you are about to join the "Phillips" Group Project. Click on "order the test kit" and you are on you way to discovering more about your ancestry. Follow each page's instructions and fill in your information to order your kit. It will take about one week to receive the kit and eight weeks for the results to post.

What company do I test with? There are many companies that offer yDNA testing, but they may not test as many markers as FTDNA. To help you make this an easier question to answer, you must consider what would be best for you. Here is a Comparison Chart of the DNA testing companies and what markers they test. If you are testing for genealogical purposes you should always consider, "the more markers, the better," phrase. When looking at the Comparison Chart, it is easy to see that FTDNA offers the most comprehensive tests with the most markers. Even if you decide against FTDNA, please use the Contact page on this website to request that you be included in the "Genetic Census" of Phillips yDNA. You just might belong to a Family Group or may match a single Phillips. If the latter is the case, you will form a new Family Group while at the same time gain a genetic cousin.
